Hey George,
I've been doing some marathon mana cooler listening lately, just found your podcast a week or so ago, really enjoying it. I've been toying with the idea of starting my own podcast, downloaded "Audacity" and played with it a bit last night. I've looked at wordpress and godaddy for creating a blog. I'll let you know if I ever get something going.
The main reason I'm writing though is your idea about a "tradesman" or "merchant" class in WoW. Very cool idea. I had something similar going, along the lines of when your character(s) reach 85 and max out their profession skills, you get access to a "shopkeeper" that can store your mats and crafted items, perhaps even be able to create them, like an apprentice in the shop. Any on of the many buildings in Orgrimmar or Stormwind or whatever could be a phased shop for all players to go and drop off, pick up, mail whatever anything having to do with professions. And as each of your alts reaches 85 and maxes their profs those become available in your shop for all your toons.

I find that I spend a lot of time in the auction house, even when I have a specific task in mind when logging in.

Are you currently striving for the gold cap, or just playing a couple markets?
